Absolutely not! We already have a multitude of churches which are using the same service formula that has been used for centuries. If you desire a traditional or contemporary church where you will see the same formula used you have many good options.
What we need is a different kind of Gathering. One where the formula and system have been put aside and God's children come together without the constraints of religious activity and enjoy communicating with each other and with God. A place where we are free to be who God made us without the system trying to conform us all into one religious image. We need a Gathering where being spiritual is far more important than being religious.
While this seems like a very complex question it is really quite simple. Everything in the Bible points to one central theme: Jesus Christ is God who came to earth in human form. He lived a perfect, sinless life and sacrificed himself on our behalf by dying on the cross.
We must accept the free gift of salvation through Jesus so that we can be changed from those who were spiritually dead to those who have the life of Jesus living in us. This prepares us to live a full, happy life on earth and an eternal existence in heaven.
Jesus did not come to make bad people good. He came to make dead people alive.
Religion alone has one major flaw. It is humanity's approach to finding and making contact with God. To do this it requires that all participants act, think and believe alike. Religion believes that to be in unity we must practice uniformity. Nothing could be further from the truth.
God has made you a unique individual in the Body of Christ as he purposed you to be. By being different from each other we are able to give to others something they do not have as they give to us what we do not have.
Imagine a garden where all the flowers were the same kind and color. While it will posses some beauty it is only when we see flowers of many colors that we see the real brilliance of what color can be.
God made you to be who you are and religion will never get you to the point of Christ-actualization where you are free to be who God made you to be.
In an Organic Gathering there is freedom to be and express yourself as God intended. A tree will never grow past its environment.
An organic gathering is a place where God's people gather to encourage and bless each other. It is a place where no artificial religious activity is conducted but each organic plant is free to grow into what God has desired.
An organic gathering is where our road to God is not directed by religion and legalism but is a place where each person is encouraged to look inwardly to find God in their heart. When we do this the Bible ceases to be a rule book and becomes a platform on which we stand to see what God will do when we let him have freedom in our hearts.
In other words, when we allow God to be who he wants to be, he will make the Bible come alive in our life. Then it will no longer be human effort but spiritual power.
"The journey to find God is not out there but inside your heart."
To put it simply we do not accept any religions. Remember, religion is humanity's way of finding God. We do not need religion since we have the Holy Spirit of God living inside each of us. He will be our guide and will lead us down the path of truth. It is then that we are truly free. (See 1 John 2:26-27)
However, we do accept ALL HUMANS regardless of what their religious or denominational background has been. If they do not see Jesus as the ONLY way to God they have not rejected us, they have rejected God. But we will lovingly teach them the truth for as long as they are with us.
Salvation is Jesus plus NOTHING else! We are saved by grace, (The Gift) through his faith, not by working hard through religion!
God never called us to keep others in line. He called each individual to be self-controlled through the power of the Holy Spirit. No external rule or law can change a fallen human heart, but when a person is saved the Holy Spirit begins to reside in their inner-most being. This gives them a NEW nature, and living in rebellion to God would mean they have to go against their new nature. Therefore, it is the law of God written in our hearts that causes us to live in obedience, not ink on paper.
Jesus said this about the Scriptures: "You don't have the word residing in you, because you don't believe the one he sent. You pore over the Scriptures because you think you have eternal life in them, and yet they testify about me. But you are not willing to come to me so that you may have life." John 5:38-40 CSB
Salvation is not in the words or rules of a book. Salvation is in the person of Jesus Christ alone!
